Malta For Unified Online Self-Exclusion System

The Malta Gaming Authority has been in the news for upgrades to its regulatory mechanisms and processes. Malta’s parliament has passed legislation allowing more powers to the regulatory body. Now, the Malts Gaming Authority has announced another ambitious project. The objective is to establish a unified self-exclusion system for all its remote gaming licensees.

Today it has become a standard practice for all online casinos to offer self-exclusion tools to their players. This is for the protection of players who think they have an addictive gambling problem. Such players can, on their own, opt out from the online casino for a certain period. The online casino has to ensure that these players cannot log in during the specified period. All online casinos licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority like Royal Vegas, Spin Palace and All Slots, are providing self-exclusion facilities under the terms of the licenses.

Unfortunately, this system is not serving its purpose. A player excludes himself from one online casino. But when the urge to gamble gets the better of him, he can easily sign up at another online casino. The Malta Gaming Authority is conscious of this lacuna in its regulated environment. It has stated its commitment to working towards a system that will prevent players who exclude themselves from one online casino to sign up at any other online or land casino licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.

Heathcliff Farrugia, Chief Executive Officer at the Malta Gaming Authority issued the following statement. “The protection of players is at the heart of the MGA’s regulatory agenda, and this project further underlines our resolve to ensure that players have the necessary tools to engage in gaming services responsibly.” He strongly believes that the unified self-exclusion system will be well received by the operators and players alike.

The Malta Gaming Authority has already implemented a unified self-exclusion system for land-based casinos. The authority is also looking at the possibility of including online casinos licensed by other jurisdictions in the unified system on a voluntary basis. There is the awareness that the implementation of such a system will require careful and considered analysis in order to ascertain that the solution design will meet the intended objectives. The Malta Gaming Authority will next assess the suitability of a range of technical solutions for such a system, including the Distributed Ledger Technology. The Authority will announce its considerations for public consultation after which the process of implementation will be undertaken. => 우리카지노 계열 대한민국 최고의 카지노사이트
